The Packers were starting to find their new defensive groove. After a 24-10 win against the Washington Football Team, the defense is to thank for their great efforts.
The team is going to be without Joe Barry this week. The defensive coordinator has tested positive for COVID-19. Barry, 51, joined the Packers earlier in 2021 after spending time with the Los Angeles Rams as their assistant HC/LBs coach.
On a short week facing the NFL’s only undefeated team… the #Packers figure to be short-handed. https://t.co/FJNRWoRJQe

Like all NFL coaches, Barry is vaccinated against COVID-19, but there was no indication on whether or not he was symptomatic.
Challenges?
Moreover, the team are going to be without their defensive coordinator for Thursday’s game. Barry does plan to attend the planning virtually.
Not to mention, the Packers’ defense has improved in the recent weeks, and they’re ranked 7th in the NFL in both yards and points allowed. After running a shutout against the Washington Football Team, this is a huge blow to the defensive line.
If the Packers want to continue their winning streak and beat the 7-0 Arizona, they’re going to have to continue creating those plays that’ll drive them the most success.
