The Green Bay Packers are headed into week nine with a must-win on the schedule. They travel to Detroit to face the 1-6 Lions on Sunday afternoon. After falling to 3-5 last weekend vs the Bills, the Packers need a “get right” game and Detroit seems like the perfect opportunity. However, that does not mean it won’t come with its challenges. The Packers are far from full strength and today’s signing is indicative of that.
The Packers’ defense will have to make do without their All-Pro linebacker this week. After injuring his knee on Sunday night, De’Vondre Campbell did not practice all week. Because of the lack of practice, it did not necessarily come as a shock that Campbell is not playing this week. On Monday, LaFleur said that he didn’t think the injury was long-term, but it looks bad enough to keep him out at least a week. Rookie Quay Walker will take the defensive playcalling over for this week against the Lions. The corresponding move to Campbell being ruled out was the Packers signing LB Kyrs Barnes to the active roster.

Absolutely pitiful performance by the Pack. Are you trying to lose for better draft picks? You are going to need a lot of help. Don’t pass on some local players like you did on the Watt brothers. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Gute you better start planning NOW. Discraceful.
