The Milwaukee Bucks are in the midst of an outstanding start to the season. Granted, they just suffered a brutal loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, they are still 20-8 on the season. That is good enough for 2nd in the Eastern Conference. Their depth could dramatically improve over the next few days as the Bucks received some major injury news on Joe Ingles. If all goes well, he could see the court Monday Vs the Pelicans.
Joe Ingles Could Return As Early As Monday
Adrian Wojnarowski reported today on twitter:
After nearly 10 months of rehabilitation on a torn left ACL, Milwaukee Bucks forward Joe Ingles is targeting his return vs. New Orleans on Monday. Once Ingles successfully completes a final 5-on-5 workout Saturday, that’ll be the last hurdle in his comeback.
Ingles signed a one-year, $6.5M free agent deal with the Bucks in July. He brings another floor spacer and experienced postseason performer to Milwaukee’s championship chase.
When the 35-year tore his ACL back in January, some even speculated that Ingles might retire. But Joe still has fire in him, and he decided to sign with the Bucks for another NBA adventure. In his first 8 seasons with the Utah Jazz, the Australian proved he is a very valuable NBA player.
If he returns to top form, Ingles will bring the Milwaukee Bucks a hefty dose of shooting, playmaking, playoff performing, and character as Joe thrives in pressure situations. Below are some highlights of Joe Ingles’ career:
