Graham Mertz visited another SEC school
Graham Mertz is catching the attention of SEC schools. The Wisconsin Badgers quarterback hit the transfer portal this past week. He was reported to be transferring to Kentucky a few days ago. However, new evidence shows the quarterback was looking for another school to transfer to.
According to a social media post by Mertz, the former Big Ten quarterback visited the University of Florida this weekend. Barstool media quickly found Mertz’s post on Instagram. He posted a photo of the midfield at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Mertz seems to be a hot commodity for SEC schools. The Badgers quarterback is looking for a new start after Luke Fickell was recently hired as Wisconsin’s head coach. Fickell reportedly wanted Mertz to stay with the Badgers next season, but the quarterback wished for a new start. It’ll be interesting to see where Mertz ends up for the 2023 season. He’s not a quarterback for dual-threat purposes, but Mertz has shown he can be a solid starter at the Power Five level.
