A wild off-season just got even more wild. Star wide receiver Deebo Samuel has officially requested to be traded from the San Francisco 49ers:
A long anticipated riff between the 49ers and Deebo Samuel has finally come to a pass. However things seem to be far from over. The 49ers reportedly knew about the trade over one week ago, but refuse to engage in trade talks:
Where do we go from here? The 49ers hold all the cards currently. They have him officially under contract for one more year. If Deebo Samuel chooses to sit out the 2022 season the 49ers may feel the need to get what they can for him now rather than nothing for him later when he walks. Either way this Deebo Samuel story seems to be far from over.
