David Bakhtiari will miss week 13
The Green Bay Packers have been unsure of offensive tackle David Bakhtiari’s gameday status until near game time. Bakhtiari has had a fluid situation as he recovers from an ACL injury. He was listed again on the Packers’ Week 13 injury report. However, the Packers knew his status for the Bears game by Friday afternoon.
According to a statement by the Packers, Bakhtiari has been ruled out against the Bears. Bakhtiari is out due to an appendectomy.

The Packers will have big shoes to fill without their All-Pro offensive lineman. Bakhtiari has been the Packers’ best offensive lineman by a wide margin since he’s been consistently playing in the regular season.
The Packers will play the Bears in a matchup that features two beat-up teams in Week 13. The Bears will likely have quarterback Justin Fields returning from an injury to play. The Packers’ offense should have quarterback Aaron Rodgers playing through an oblique injury. However, Rodgers won’t have his best blind-side blocker to protect him.
