Three NFC teams have traded one of their best players out of the NFC over the last week. It started with Russell Wilson, then Khalil Mack, and now it’s Amari Cooper.
The Trade:
Cowboys are finalizing a trade to send WR Amari Cooper and a sixth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for a 2022 fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick, per league sources.

The Cowboys get a 5th and 6th round pick for one of the better wide receivers in the entire NFC. This trade has “discontent” written all over it as the Cowboys seemed to give up Cooper for a lot less than they could have. A few weeks ago when an Amari Cooper trade first seemed likely to happen, first and second round picks were being talked about as accurate compensation. We will see if stories come out in the future of Cooper’s relationship with Dallas. However one thing we know for sure is Dallas looses one of their best offensive play makers for two day-three NFL draft picks. WOW.
