Game two of the Bucks and Celtics is tonight, and the Boston Celtics received some pretty harsh news prior to tonight Contest:
#NEBHInjuryReport update:
Marcus Smart (right thigh contusion) – OUT
— Boston Celtics (@celtics) May 3, 2022
Smart suffered multiple injuries as the Celtics lost Game 1 of their second-round series to the Bucks on Sunday. In the second quarter, he suffered a stinger to his right arm that briefly removed him from play, but he was able to return for the second half of action. In addition, he suffered a contusion to his right thigh that is a bit more serious. Marcus Smart has been a key part of the Celtics success this year, as he won the 2022 defensive player of the year award.
Milwaukee is dealing with a major injury of its own. Khris Middleton is not expected to play for the Bucks in this series. As the Milwaukee Bucks already took game one in in Boston, this only makes game two that much more important for both sides.
