First reported by Marc J. Spears, Milwaukee Bucks players Brook Lopez and George Hill are closing to returning for the Milwaukee Bucks’.

There is growing optimism that Bucks center Brook Lopez (back) and guard George Hill (neck) could return to action next week, sources tell @andscape_ @espn.

    Lopez

This news doesn’t come as a huge surprise for Lopez.  The Bucks organization has remained adamant that Brook Lopez would return to the lineup before the playoffs. Lopez was recently reported to have underwent 5-on-5 practices.

#Bucks center Brook Lopez came through his week of 5-on-5 practices OK.

Head coach Mike Budenholzer offered this today in San Francisco: "I would say he's getting close."

    — Jim Owczarski (@JimOwczarski) March 13, 2022

Brook Lopez has appeared in only one game this season before needing back surgery.  As an integral part of Milwaukee’s championship run, Lopez final step will to get his body and conditioning ready for the final games of the season.

Surgery goes well for Milwaukee Bucks' Brook Lopez

    Hill

As for George Hill, he hasn’t played in a game since January 28th.

Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer, on George Hill:

"Similar (to Brook). He's close. He had a good day yesterday. I think he's come through it well. So, I would say they're both doing really well and they're both close."

    — Eric Nehm (@eric_nehm) March 13, 2022

In 41 games this season, Hill is averaging 7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists.  While having Milwaukee’s full compliment of players will be a refreshing site, Coach Bud will have rotational decisions to make.  Both Serge Ibaka and Jevon Carter have brought consistent effort and production when the Bucks needed it most.  It’s hard to imagine Carter won’t be given meaningful minutes, especially with his relentless effort on defense.
