The Milwaukee Brewers have the best record in the National League and the second-best record in all of baseball. Unfortunately, they will be without their biggest free agent signing of the offseason for the foreseeable future. Designated hitter and outfielder Andrew McCutchen was just placed on the COVID IR. Infielder Mike Brosseau was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to take his roster spot.

So far this season, the 2013 NL MVP is batting .240/.291/.350 with two home runs and 14 RBI. McCutchen had played in all 25 games the Brewers have played this season. He made 20 appearances at DH and five as an outfielder.
Mike Brosseau is rejoining the Milwaukee Brewers after having been demoted when the rosters got smaller. In 15 games with the Brewers this season, Brosseau hit .250/.364/.350 with a home run and four RBI. Brosseau played 14 games at third, one a short stop, and even made a garbage time appearance as a pitcher.
Andrew McCutchen is the second Brewers player to be put on the COVID IR this season. Backup catcher Victor Caratini was placed on the COVID list on April 26.
