One of the biggest storylines this offseason is what will happen to Aaron Rodgers. Everyone has been scrambling trying to figure out if the Packers will keep him or trade him. However, there is another option. Rodgers could decide simply to retire. Former All-Pro wide receiver Brandon Marshall had some interesting posts on social media that suggested Rodgers might do just that.

Brandon Marshall just posted this on Instagram, congratulating Aaron Rodgers on retirement. I don’t know what’s happening. pic.twitter.com/DMjx25LQ6i

Brandon Marshall Suggests Aaron Rodgers Will Retire

The above picture is from Marshall’s Instagram story. There is not much to read into with the words. The caption reads “@aaronrodgers12 RETIRES….CONGRATULATIONS”. He then has some more words that praise Rodgers for his “phenomenal” career. Since Rodgers returned from his darkness retreat, we have heard nothing from him. Seeing Marshall post this was a huge surprise to the Packers community.

    What Do The Packers Want?

GM Brian Gutekunst spoke today at the NFL Combine. Everything he said about Aaron Rodgers felt very non-committal. He has spoken to him very little to him and is keeping all options open. In contrast, Gutekunst had high praise for Jordan Love and other players on the team. Reading between the lines, it seems the Packers would be very happy to move on to the future. Obviously, this could change once everyone sits and talks but right now the situation feels very awkward.

    Book an Athlete Appearance Final

Can we trust Brandon Marshall as a leak in Aaron Rodgers’ inner circle? My gut says no but it would be wild if Marshall was the one to spill the beans. Rodgers has said that he will not draw this out too long so hopefully, we will get an answer from Rodgers himself in the coming weeks.
