Maybe there’s a reason Bobby Portis is not getting a shout out from either Giannis Antetokoummpo and Damian Lillard during Milwaukee Bucks 9-1 run.
The Bucks saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks and while both Antetokounmpo and Lillard produced the usual numbers, others just did not show up or did not play the right way.
Many fans are trying to revive trade talks and their main target is Portis who scored just six points and was -8 in plus/minus.
There was even a stretch when the Hawks’ lead ballooned to double digits when he took over as the team’s center.

His technical foul with 9:42 remaining in the game, when the Bucks were trying to make a run as they were down by 11 points, seems to be the last straw for many.
BP, who is a fan favorite and gets called People’s Champ at Fiserv Forum, has been with the team since 2020 and was part of their championship run in 2021.
He was even at one point a candidate for 6th Man of the Year award because of his significant contribution to the team’s success.
Bobby Trade talks should get a go signal
Many fans, especially the avid ones, can no longer defend him after his awful performance and attitude in the game.
Nathan Marzion, a writer for Behind The Bucks, which is one of the biggest fan base for the team, thought they should let him go after giving him lots of chances.

Another Bucks writer thinks he should not be getting big minutes anymore.
I like most of what Doc has done this season but you can’t talk about accountability and continue to let Portis play big minutes when he can’t rebound or defend the paint at all. It’s untenable. Atlanta’s offense opened up immediately when he checked in. Has to change.

Right now, there is no assurance Portis will get traded although there were reports three weeks back that the Bucks were looking to shop some of their players.
