Bobby Portis has become a fan favorite in the city of Milwaukee and state of Wisconsin over the last two years. Possibly faster than any other player of recent memory in Wisconsin Sports. Portis re-signed with the Milwaukee Bucks after winning the 2021 NBA Championship. It was his first year with the team. The deal was a two-year $8.9 million deal with a player option in the second year. It was a steal of contract for the Bucks as Portis revealed he had offers for more money elsewhere. It was recently reported that Portis would be planning on signing a long term contract with Milwaukee:

It seemed cryptic at the time, but nothing to cause significant doubt about his future. Then he posted this:

Bobby Portis changing his profile picture from him in a Bucks uniform to all black during the middle of what we presume is contract negotiations, isn’t exactly what you want to see. We have seen things like this before with athletes. Most recently was Deebo Samuel with the 49ers. He removed all San Francisco 49ers content from his social media when contract talks weren’t gong the way he wanted. We will know soon enough if this is the same scenario with Bobby Portis (hopefully not).
