The Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Washington Wizards last night 118-95. They were without their top three players in Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday. Despite the loss, Bobby Portis continued his solid season scoring 19 points and adding 10 rebounds. It gave Portis another double-double on the season.
Bobby records his 21st double-double of the season, tying Giannis for third-most in the NBA.

Bobby Portis Is A Double-Double Machine
The Bucks have played 36 games so far this season. Bobby Portis has a double-double in 21 of them. His play off the bench is a huge reason why the Bucks have gotten off to a good start to the season. The production has made him a leading candidate for Sixth Man of the Year. If he keeps this type of production up, he should have no problem locking up that award. Portis is only behind Nikola Jokic and Domantas Sabonis and tied with Giannis for double-doubles on the season.
Bucks Are Playing The Long Game
After a loss like this one, it is easy to get frustrated with the team. However, the Bucks are playing the long game. Bobby Portis continues to produce when needed. Joe Ingles is starting to get acclimated to the offense. The Bucks should not have any issue locking up a playoff spot. What will derail this season is if a key player suffers a major injury because the team was trying to beat the Wizards in January.
The Bucks have to be happy with their investment in Bobby Portis. He is a player who knows his role on the team and plays it well. The Bucks look to get back to winning when they play the Wizards again tomorrow.
