Bobby Portis had 25 points and 11 rebounds in the Bucks’ 128-111 victory over the defending champion Golden State Warriors. In the process, Portis became the 15th player in Bucks’ history to come off the bench to score 25 or more points and collect 10 or more rebounds.

Two Bucks’ players, Junior Bridgeman, and Greg Monroe each came off the bench twice and had 25-point/10-rebound games in their careers. The other Bucks to get 25/10 off the bench were: Bob Dandridge, Scott May, Charles Davis, Ricky Pierce, Greg Anderson, Danny Schayes, Joe Smith, Charlie Villanueva, Mike Dunleavy, Samuel Dalembert, Jabari Parker, and Jordan Nwora.

More noteworthy stats from Bobby Portis’ game vs. the Warriors

Other facts from Portis’ milestone game:

    • He was the 52nd player in Bucks’ history to score 25+ points off the bench in a game. He was the first to do so since May 16, 2021, when Jordan Nwora had 34 off the bench in a game versus the Bulls. Ricky Pierce leads the Bucks with 67 career games with 25+ points as a non-starter.
    • This was the eighth game of Portis’ Bucks’ career where he scored 20 or more points off the bench. That ties him for 14th place on the Bucks all-time list. Pierce tops this list with 151 games with 20+ points off the bench.
    • This was the second game in Portis’ career with the Bucks where he had 20+ points/10+ rebounds in a game off the bench. Portis became the 13th Bucks’ non-starter to have 20+ points/10+ rebounds in multiple games for the team.

In 20 games this season where he has come off the bench, Portis has tallied 10+ points and 10+ rebounds in 11 of those games. That is the most in the NBA this season. The closest competitor to Portis is Nick Richards from Charlotte who has six games this year with 10+ points and 10+ rebounds coming off the bench for the Hornets.

Bobby Portis is two games short of tying a Bucks’ record

His 11 games this season is just two off the Bucks’ single-season record for most games with 10+ points/10+ rebounds by a non-starter. The record is 13 games in 2016-17 by Greg Monroe.

Finally, Portis has 46 games as a non-starter in his career with 10+ points/10+ rebounds. That ranks tied for 13th in the league on the all-time list. Detlef Schrempf leads in this category with 106 games coming off the bench with 10 or more points/10 or more rebounds.
