Bill Simmons of ‘The Ringer’ had a strong reaction to Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur’s work in Saturday’s NFC Wild Card Round showdown against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

Simmons was particularly critical of LaFleur’s job in the second half of the contest, where the Pakers squandered a comfortable lead and allowed Caleb Williams and company to complete a come-from-behind 31-27 victory.

“Matt LaFleur’s second half has to be on the short list of worst playoff coaching performances this century,” Simmons shared via a post on social media app X, formerly Twitter.

Fans react to Simmons’ jab at LaFleur after Packers’ playoff loss to Chicago

Simmons immediately turned heads with his post, garnering a ton of reactions form fans online.

“Say you lost money on GB without saying you lost money on GB!,” said a fan on X.

Another one said: “That is well said Bill. And it should cost him his job this time. Packers gave away another game and this time it ended their season

From a commenter: “Coaching like he wants to move to Pembroke Pines

Delay of game coming out of a timeout on the biggest play of the game is a fireable offense,” a social media user posted.

Via a different commenter: Historically bad.  All those end zone throws on that last drive.  What the hell.

Said another: He’s had a handful of games like this too. I think the Packers need to seriously consider moving on.

Green Bay wouldn’t have suffered a complete collapse against the Bears if not for at least some mistakes on its part, and fair or not, it is inevitable for LaFleur to be blamed for those blunders.
