On Tuesday night, the Wisconsin state volleyball tournament began with a bang. Divisions 2 through 4 began regional action, and the games did not disappoint. Multiple one and two seeds were happy to sit out as there were a few big upsets that changed the landscape for the rest of the tournament.

    Division 2

#12 St. Croix Central def. #5 Altoona

#10 Plymouth def. #7 Little Chute

    #10 Antigo def. #7 Lakeland

    #11 Colombus def. #6 Portage

    #10 Turner def. #7 Evansville

    Division 3

    #10 Cumberland def. #7 Cameron

    #10 Crandon def. #7 Crivitz

    Division 4

#9 Prairie Farm def. #8 Luck

Prairie Farm was the only nine seed to advance in Division 4. Every other higher ranked seed won their matchup.

    Thursday, October 20th

As stated before, Division 1 joins the party this Thursday night. Thursday will be a huge night for volleyball as the regionals continue with every single division playing at 7PM. If we’ve learned anything from these Tuesday night results, don’t sleep on the #10 seed. Five different 10 seeds advanced across the three divisions. Division 2 was the only division to see a seed higher than ten move on. 11 seed Colombus will now travel to Watertown Luther Prep while 12 seed St. Croix Central plays at Barron.
