Underrated Big Ten Players For The 2023 NFL Draft
In a recent list of the 10 most underrated players, 4 of them were from the Big Ten. Zach Harrison (Ohio State), Luke Van Ness (Iowa), Jack Campbell (Iowa), and Wisconsin’s own Nick Herbig were all named. Harrison and Van Ness both possess the frame and the skills to make it as starting edge rushers in the NFL. Jack Campbell won the Butkus Award for best linebacker in the 2022 season but gets overlooked simply because his team did not perform well. The Iowa offense was a disaster which took the focus off of how good their defense was.
Nick Herbig
It is great to see Herbig on a list like this. He is one of the best pure pass rushers in the 2023 class. He produced 11 sacks in his junior season. While undersized, he consistently finds ways to make plays. Teams need players like Herbig on their team. He plays with high effort and can consistently make plays. He will be a steal of a pick for the team that drafts him.
In general, there is a lot of value in the later rounds of this draft. These prospects are just scratching the service on the talent that will be available in the later rounds.
