The Chicago Bears will play host to the Green Bay Packers in this coming Saturday’s huge NFC Wild Card Round matchup at Soldier Field.
That means football fans are getting yet another meeting between these bitter NFC North rivals.
Green Bay lost in the last meeting with the Bears, which can be best remembered for DJ Moore’s walk-off touchdown in overtime back in Week 16. Chicago has another chance to beat the Packers at Soldier Field — and send Jordan Love and company out of the NFL playoffs.
Of course, Green Bay fans don’t want to see that happen.
Even Bears tight end Cole Kmet doesn’t want that outcome, and there’s a good reason for it.
Bears TE Kmet’s sister is dating a Packers player
While talking to reporters earlier this week, Kmet joked about not being in speaking terms with his sister, Frankie, during the days leading up to a showdown between Chicago and Green Bay.
“I don’t know, I don’t talk to her during Packer week, so I’ll find out after the game,” the former Notre Dame Fighting Irish star tight end said when asked about what it’s like to play against Green Bay when his sister is dating Packers defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness.
“No, no, I’m kidding. Well, she did ask for tickets, and I just sent her the tickets, so I didn’t really respond to anything else besides that.”

Of course, Kmet understands why his sister won’t be fine with a Bears win on Saturday, but at least one member of the Kmet family will be happy regardless of the outcome.
For what it’s worth, Kmet was the intended target of Williams’ pass that got intercepted in the clutch by Green Bay defensive back Keisean Nixon in the Packers’ 28-21 win in Week 14 at Lambeau Field.
