The Wisconsin Badgers consistently put quality players into the NFL.  They consistently have offensive lineman, linebackers, and running backs being drafted in high rounds.

However, one former legend just got a massive pay day from his NFL team.

ESPN has confirmed that linebacker T.J. Edwards has agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract extension:

Edwards joins nickel corner Kyler Gordon as the latest members of the Bears defense to receive an extension. Gordon inked a three-year, $30 million extension earlier this week.

Edwards, 28, is a former undrafted free agent who spent the first four seasons of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles (2019-22). He signed with Chicago in 2023 and has produced 284 total tackles (20 for a loss), 6.5 sacks and 14 quarterback hits over two seasons. The linebacker set career bests last season with four sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

Edwards was voted a captain for the 2024 season and is a local product from Lake Villa, Illinois.

NFL Network was first to report Edwards’ extension.
