The Wisconsin Badgers football team recently received a crystal ball prediction from 247 Sports. Evan Flood announced a crystal ball projection for a recruit from Green Bay who has been quite overlooked. Perhaps Wisconsin will move quickly to secure their great in-state talent before other schools join in.
The Badgers Hope to Secure Commitment From Gauthier
Landon Gauthier, a three-star recruit from Green Bay, Wisconsin has not been active in the recruiting world. 247 Sports currently reports that Gauthier has six division one schools interested, including the Badgers. Minnesota and Syracuse are the two major offers that are currently competing against Wisconsin for the talented linebacker.
The 2024 recruit stands at six foot three inches and 220 pounds. Gauthier is a big body on the field and he makes it known in his play style. Gauthier throws blockers and running backs to the side often. He is a physical player who always moves his eyes towards the next possible play. Gauthier has a great ability to read plays in coverage as well. Gauthier also has experience on offense playing as a fullback and a tight end.
The edge rusher has the speed and size to use any type of move against the offense. His speed brings him to the plays much faster than his opponents expect, which makes Gauthier most valuable. Gauthier has an ability to disrupt offense in multiple forms, which could certainly be useful in a collegiate system. Thus far, Gauthier has been overlooked and has not received the scouting attention he deserves. However, he has been able to take two visits to Madison, and he received a scholarship during the most recent visit January 28th.

Being a home grown player, the scholarship offer from the Badgers could hold more value than it appears. Gauthier has one expert prediction thus far for where he will take his talent for 2024. Evan Flood predicts that Gauthier will land in Madison and become a Badger following their scholarship offer. The Badgers could definitely find a great use for the size and ability of an athlete like Landon Gauthier.
