The Green Bay Packers‘ season may be over, but the NFL playoffs are still rolling along without them. The first Divisional Round matchup of the weekend sees the defending back-to-back Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, take on the Houston Texans.
Currently, Kansas City is leading 13-6 at halftime, but there have been plenty of fireworks in the game thus far. Unfortunately, much of it is centered around the officials and some calls that heavily favor Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
Former Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers Linebacker Vince Biegel Is Buying the Conspiracy Theories
One of these questionable plays was a roughing the passer call on Houston that, admittedly, did not seem to be an illegal hit at all:
Refs continue to do everything they can to protect Mahomes and the Chiefs

Another was the officials ignoring an illegal hip drop tackle by a Kansas City defender:
Chiefs get away with an illegal hip-drop tackle…

Indeed, there has been talk for a while now that the NFL favors the Chiefs and that officials award them all the calls.
And it sounds like former Wisconsin and Green Bay linebacker Vince Biegel is starting to believe that theory:
I’m really starting to think these refs work for the #Chiefs…….

Bigel, the former Badgers linebacker, was drafted by the Packers in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent one year in Green Bay before playing for the New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins. He nearly made the Baltimore Ravens 53-man roster in 2023, but suffered a season (and ultimately career) ending Achilles injury.
