In a report yesterday from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Wisconsin Badgers men’s and women’s basketball team will play at American Family Field, the home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The games will take place this season on November 11. The event will be called Aurora Health Care Brew City Battle. The men’s team will play Stanford. The women’s team will take on Kansas State.

Potrykus also mentions Wisconsin will play Stanford in a neutral site game in 2024. That will likely take place in Sacramento. The womens’ Badgers basketball team will play at Kansas State in 2023.

Initial Thoughts on the New Event for Badgers Basketball
How cool of an event is this! While we don’t know how many tickets will be sold or when they will go on sale, I would imagine Badgers basketball fans will eat up a ton of these tickets. It’s uncommon to play a neutral site game 90 minutes from your home campus. Stanford finished with a 16-16 record last season but will be looking to rebound for a NCAA tournament birth.
The Kansas State women made the NCAA tournament last season and defeated eight seed Washington State. They eventually fell to top seed NC State in the following round.
On the men’s side, Badgers basketball fans will get a chance early to see life without Johnny Davis and Brad Davison. It will certainly be a different team so I think that’s a cool idea for Badger fans to see this team early.
For the women, coach Marissa Mosley will be entering year two. After an 8-21 year last season, the Badger women will look to be competitive. I like what coach Mosley brings to Wisconsin, especially being off the Geno Auriemma tree. I think the women have a shot at competing for a postseason spot this year.
