There has been a lot of action for the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team this winter and spring in the transfer portal. Former Baylor upperclassman Allie Andrew was been the organization’s most recent addition when the portal opened up in May, but at that time it was also announced that 2024 All-Big ten freshman libero Lola Schumacher was leaving.
Lola Schumacher has left the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball program for another Big Ten school

The spring transfer portal officially closed on May 15. It took until the last day for an announcement to come, but on her Instagram Schumacher posted that she would be joining the UCLA Bruins.

With the UCLA Bruins, Lola Schumacher will be competing for a starting role

Entering 2025, Schumacher had competition for playing time with the Badgers, despite having an incredible 2024 campaign and having already previously lost Saige Dammrow and Gulce Guctekin to the transfer portal. Schumacher’s biggest competition with the Badgers consisted of two talented incoming freshmen, Aniya Warren and Kristen Simon.
UCLA had lost three year starter Peyton Dueck, which makes Schumacher’s role to being a starter more clear.
