The Wisconsin Badgers have added a big piece to their defense via the transfer portal. Former Utah safety Kamo’i Latu announced he has committed to Wisconsin via his social media.

The Wisconsin Badgers had one of the best defenses in the country last season. However, they lost many notable contributors to the NFL. Bringing in Latu to learn from defensive guru Jim Leonhard will help make sure the status quo is maintained in Madison.
Kamo’i Latu at Utah
Kamo’i Latu is going to be a junior this season, having spent the first two years of his college career at Utah. In 2020, his freshman season, the college football season was greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, Latu played in just four games and made just four total tackles.
Last season, 2021, Latu appeared in nine games. He was noticeably more productive with 19 tackles and three pass deflections.
Kamo’i Latu was originally a three-star recruit. Despite going into his third college football season, he red-shirted last year and has three years of eligibility left to play at Wisconsin.
