The Wisconsin Badgers are going into year three with Luke Fickell as their head coach.  Fickell immediately brought National Championship hopes to Madison, however, it has been far from that.  So far, he holds a 13-13 overall record and Wisconsin missed a bowl game in 2024 for the first time in a long time.

Now, the Badgers are dealing with a major injury to their offense as they’re preparing for the 2025 season.

According to Badgers beat reporter Colten Bartholomew:

Badgers WR Trech Kekahuna will miss the rest of spring football with a lower body injury. Wearing a boot on left foot.

Expected to be back for fall camp.

This was Kekahuna’s first season contributing regularly to the offense with 25 catches for 339 yards and two touchdowns. After briefly entering the transfer portal in December, he chose to return to Wisconsin. As a result of Kekahuna’s absence, Kyan Berry-Johnson, Tyrell Henry, and Eugene Hilton Jr. figure to get more snaps in the slot.
