Badgers: Former Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Dylan Raiola has made his final decision on where he will play football next. The decision comes after he recently entered the NCAA transfer portal.
The announcement, first reported by On3’s Pete Nakos and Hayes Fawcett, marks a significant move for the highly regarded sophomore passer, who spent the past two seasons starting for Nebraska.
Badgers See Dylan Raiola Commit to Oregon Ducks After Entering Transfer Portal

Raiola, ranked as the No. 5 quarterback in the transfer portal, entered the portal seeking a fresh start after a promising but injury-shortened 2025 campaign.
He visited Oregon over the weekend, and the Ducks moved quickly to secure him amid uncertainty at the QB position with Dante Moore (who made declare for the NFL Draft).
Raiola arrived at Nebraska as a five-star recruit (No. 3 QB in the 2024 class) after flipping from Georgia to play under coach Matt Rhule. He set the freshman passing record in 2024 with 2,819 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions (67.1% completion). In 2025, he improved dramatically:
- Completed 72.4% of passes
- Threw for 2,000 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions in nine starts
- Led Nebraska to a 6-2 record before a season-ending broken fibula in a loss to USC on November 1
Despite the injury, his efficiency gains and arm talent kept him among the top portal prospects. Nebraska coach Matt Rhule said post-transfer: “Dylan made his decision, and Dylan did a great job for us.”
Why Oregon? Fit and Opportunity

Oregon, fresh off a College Football Playoff semifinal loss to Indiana in the Peach Bowl, targeted Raiola for QB stability. If Moore declares for the 2026 NFL Draft (as many expect), Raiola steps in as the likely starter under coach Dan Lanning. Even if Moore returns, Raiola could compete or potentially redshirt/develop behind him—mirroring Moore’s own path (transferred from UCLA, sat a year behind Dillon Gabriel).
The Ducks’ elite recruiting (three straight top-five classes) and title-contender status made Oregon the clear focus for Raiola’s camp. Other schools showed interest (e.g., Louisville), but Oregon was the priority.
