Jackson Chourio is currently the Milwaukee Brewers top overall prospect. The 19 year old outfielder from Venezuela is also ranked near the top among all prospects and is starting 2023 as Baseball America’s third overall prospect and MLB Pipelines’s 10th. Last season, Jackson Chourio rapidly ascended up the rankings and was put on everyone’s radar. Across three levels in 2022, including a brief stint in Double-A, he hit .288/.342/.538 with 20 home runs, 75 RBI, and 16 stolen bases. That is quite impressive for anyone to do, none-the-less at 18 years old. As last year moved along, Jackson Chourio started…

This will mark his second career opening day start in which both of these contests have been played in Chicago. The team made this announcement on Friday. Milwaukee Brewers Keston Hiura, who is a former ninth overall pick in the 2017 MLB draft, won’t make the team out of spring training. The team made the announcement on Friday afternoon after they scratched him out of the starting lineup. Keston Hiura, who many believed was a trade candidate this offseason, is now officially on the trade block. The Brewers will try to find an MLB opportunity for Keston Hiura via trade in the next few days, GM Matt Arnold said. If they cannot find a deal, Hiura would go on waivers. Brewers are open to keeping him in…
Daniel Vogelbach has played for the Seattle Mariners, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and New York Mets over his seven year big league career. During this time he has never stolen a base. With the addition of larger bases this year, Major League Baseball released a hilarious promotional video for the new 2023 changes that features the idea of him stealing a base despite New York Mets manager Buck Showalter clearly thinking it’s a bad idea. This year the bases in Major League ball games will be 18 inches. They previously were 15 inches. The main thought regarding this change is…
On Tuesday March 23 Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell led the Brew Crew to a 4-2 win over the San Diego Padres during a Cactus League spring training game. This may have appeared as “just another game” to get players ready for the regular season, but following the win Craig Counsell surprisingly mentioned two pitchers who they are interested in and are keeping their eye on. Craig Counsell names Ryan Middendorf and Justin Yeager as two players that they are interested in and are keeping their eye on. Counsell brought up Ryan Middendorf and Justin Yeager, who threw scoreless innings…
The Milwaukee Brewers farm system has been steadily improving over the past few seasons. Prior to the start of 2021, MLB Pipeline had them ranked 28th out of 30 teams. Last season they began the year ranked 25th. This year, they are in the middle of the pack at 15th. The Milwaukee Brewers farm system is ranked 15th to begin the 2023 season. These three players obviously compose Milwaukee’s…
Milwaukee Brewers GM Matt Arnold is about ready to begin his first regular season as the man in charge of the Brew Crew. There has been a lot of work put in to form the current team and roster decisions still have to be made before opening day next week. Recently, Matt Arnold joined Mike Heller and Bill Schmid on 97.3 The Game Milwaukee to discuss a variety of topics including contracts, David Stearns, and the World Baseball Classic. Milwaukee Brewers GM Matt Arnold appeared on 97.3 The Game Milwaukee for an interview. One question that Matt Arnold was asked…
Milwaukee Brewers outfield prospect Jackson Chourio was a breakout player last season. He is currently 19 years old and as a teenager last season he worked his way up to Double-A in the Minor Leagues and also played in the Venezuelan Winter League. In a recent interview, GM Matt Arnold had high praise for the organization’s top overall prospect. With this third wave, Payton Henry, Blake Perkins, Jake Cousins, and Elvis Peguero have all been optioned to Triple-A.
