The Milwaukee Brewers injured list is quite large and is seemingly growing every few days.  Current pitchers that are down include J.B. Bukauskas, Taylor Clarke, DL Hall, Jakob Junis, Wade Miley, Devin Williams, and Brandon Woodruff.  Position players injured include Garrett Mitchell, Jeferson Quero, and Christian Yelich. The Milwaukee Brewers deployed their league leading ninth different starting pitcher on Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates.  25 year old Tobias Myers became the latest player to start for the Brew Crew and he did so by making his MLB debut.  Overall he pitched great, but the first pitch that he threw ended up resulting in a home run. Jared Jones, rookie for the Pittsburgh Pirates, has been incredible to begin the 2024 season.  The 22 year old recently had a dominating 25 whiff performance against the Milwaukee Brewers that included a strikeout of Brice Turang that may be a candidate for the punch out of the year.  Additionally he cemented himself in the history books. The Milwaukee Brewers seemingly cannot catch a break on the injury front.  On the same day that they announced that Wade Miley would be joining starters DL Hall, Jakob Junis, and Brandon Woodruff on the injured list a freak accident during batting practice resulted in a rehabbing Junis being sent to the hospital via an ambulance. The Milwaukee Brewers starting pitching staff looks drastically different this year when compared to seasons prior. Last off-season both Corbin Burnes and Adrian Houser were traded away and while Brandon Woodruff re-signed with the team he won’t pitch in 2024 due to recovering from shoulder surgery.
