With Adrian Amos a free agent and Darnell Savage coming off of an underwhelming year, the Packers could look to upgrade at safety. One option could be former Giants safety Julian Love. In 2022, the four-year veteran recorded 124 tackles, 6 TFLs, 2 interceptions, 5 PBUs, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble. Love was appointed a team captain before the season, and was recently named one of the NFL’s most improved players by Nate Tice of The Athletic. Love is a versatile, athletically talented safety who can help fill the void left by Amos. Run Defense Love is a willing,…

As the Green Bay Packers approach the NFL’s free agency period and draft, there are several spots the team could look to upgrade. Although rookies Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs came on towards the end of last season, the Packers still need to add playmakers in the passing game. Receivers and tight ends will likely top fan wish-lists. The safety room needs bodies as well, with Darnell Savage coming off a rough season and both Adrian Amos and Rudy Ford entering free agency. With Rashan Gary likely out for the first part of the year, Green Bay’s edge rushing corps…

Barry and his defense locked down Minnesota

As the final week of the NFL regular season approaches, the Packers are in prime position. After winning multiple critical games following the Week 14 bye, the team controls its own destiny at 8-8. A critical part of this turnaround has been a resurgent defense. Joe Barry’s unit has secured 9 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 7 interceptions over that stretch, holding its three post-bye opponents to an average of approximately 16.3 PPG. That number is a bit deceptive, however, considering that they allowed 14 points to the Vikings after pulling most of their starters in a 41-3 blowout. If…

It doesn’t get much more high-stakes than the Packers’ matchup against the Vikings on Sunday. In addition to being a bitter divisional rivalry, the matchup could very well decide the Packers’ playoff push. If Green Bay loses, than their path to the postseason becomes incredibly difficult. Facing an offense led by the otherworldly ability of Justin Jefferson and augmented by players like Dalvin Cook, K.J. Osborn, and T.J. Hockenson, the Packers will likely have to put up some serious offensive production of their own. Unfortunately, budding star Christian Watson, arguably Green Bay’s most explosive weapon, is dealing with a hip…

Green Bay Packers, Devonte Wyatt

When the Packers drafted Devonte Wyatt in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, fans were excited to see that the Packers were finally trying to improve the defensive trenches. For years, fans had been calling for Kenny Clark to receive some help. Ever since Mike Daniels departed, Clark had been the only Green Bay defensive lineman to provide steady, quality play. Green Bay’s front office seemed content to cycle through lackluster players like Tyler Lancaster, Kingsley Keke, and Montravius Adams. That tendency seemed to change with the drafting of Wyatt. Unfortunately, despite his high draft position, Wyatt has…

few Early on this season, there were multiple questions floating around the Packers’ struggling offense. One such question was, “What is going on with A.J. Dillon?” The former second round pick looked like a shell of his past self, recording only a single touchdown and one run of 20+ yards through the first 11 weeks of the season. However, the last few weeks have been a different story.  The powerful back has racked up a touchdown in consecutive games while putting together over 200 all-purpose yards. Against the Bears, he recorded his highest rushing total of the year – 93…

The Packers may have something special on their hands in young QB Jordan Love. After coming in for an injured Aaron Rodgers in the second half of Green Bay’s game against the Eagles, Love managed to put together an excellent stat line. He completed 6 of 9 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown, good for a 146.8 passer rating. Although it was a limited sample size, Love impressed many – including one of his opponents. Darius Slay has spent 10 years in the NFL. He has attained multiple Pro Bowls and a first-team All-Pro spot. Starting for the Eagles…

In what may have been a season-saving win, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-28 on Sunday. Multiple Green Bay players stepped up to secure the victory. The offensive line helped hold the Dallas defense to only two sacks. Aaron Rodgers returned to form, putting on a much improved performance. Rookie receiver Christian Watson broke out for 107 yards and 3 TDs on 4 receptions. On the defensive side of the ball, perhaps the most impactful player ended up being the one getting his first real defensive snaps in a Packers uniform. Safety Rudy Ford, largely relegated to…

The 2022 Packers season appears to be slipping down the drain. In a dismal showing against the Lions, Green Bay failed to reach ten points, falling to 3-6 on the year. A rash of severe injuries knocked out WR Romeo Doubs, OLB Rashan Gary, and CB Eric Stokes – the latter two likely for the rest of the season. The Packers offense, far from the lofty heights of 2020, is perhaps the unit most responsible for Green Bay’s recent struggles. Aaron Rodgers is not playing anywhere near his previous MVP levels, and his supporting cast has put a comedy of errors…

There are quite a few issues plaguing the Green Bay Packers right now. Coming off an unexpected loss to the New York Giants, Green Bay is struggling with an inconsistent offense and a defense in disarray. In Week Four, the Patriots torched the Packers defense on the ground for 5.1 yards per carry. In Week Five, Daniel Jones dissected the secondary on crossing route after crossing route, driving up and down the field to rack up 27 points. The Packers defense, loaded with talent, was supposed to be a strength in 2022. So, what’s going on? The answer is complex.…
