Injury is one of, if not the main issue, the Green Bay Packers are dealing with ahead of their wildcard clash with the Philadelphia Eagles but safety Xavier McKinney’s words might make their fans feel a little bit better. Key players on the injured list for the Packers are quarterback Jordan Love, wide receivers Romeo Doubs and Chrstian Watson, and cornerback Jaire Alexander. So far, only Love and Doubs are positively doubtful since they joined the recent practice while Watson and Alexander are done for the season. McKinney, however, spilled they will get the reinforcement they need before game time.…
Nick Mears is sure to return to the Milwaukee Brewers this season along with four others after agreeing to a new deal. The Brewers continue attempt to fortify their squad ahead of the incoming 2025 season by signing the right-handed pitcher to a one year deal worth $963,000. Mears, 28, is a mid-season signing from the Colorado Rockies. He joined the league in 2020 as an undrafted free agent in 2018 through the Pittsburgh Pirates. He then played for the Rockies for three seasons before he was traded to the Brewers in July last year for Bradley Blalock and Yujanyer…
Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has found himself an ally in Damian Lillard when it comes to his advocacy for the youth after the Milwaukee Bucks seconded his statement about pressure on kids. On his Instagram account, Lillard reposted a quote by Doncic not even 24 hours after win over Spurs wherein he criticized the pressure the older generations are putting on kids who are dreaming of becoming athletes. “Big big facts. It’s a problem,” he said in the repost. What did Doncic said? Doncic called out no one in particular but he is greatly concerned about how pressure takes…
Giannis Antetokounmpo is the one who always sets the tone for the Milwaukee Bucks offense against any team but in the win against the San Antonio Spurs, Brook Lopez did it for them. Such shift was by design. Coach Doc Rivers tweaked his game plan a little because of the different type of opponent they had. Victor Wembanyama came to Fiserv Forum on a hot streak but he was neutralized by the Bucks, thanks to Lopez who fulfilled his role. Even the Spurs coaching staff pointed to Lopez’s three-point shooting as one of the main reasons behind their loss. Rivers…
AJ Green may have taken the spotlight on Wednesday for the Milwaukee Bucks in win against the San Antonio Spurs but it was Gary Trent Jr. who shot the lights out in the second half, leaving his teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo inspired. Trent Jr. was signed at the start of the season from the Toronto Raptors as the new designated shooter of the team and he is very much fulfilling that role. Against the Spurs, the 25-year-old shooting guard went five out of five on the field, four out of four from the three point line. People saw how brilliant and…
Both the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles are racing to have their key players back in time for their wildcard round clash – Jordan Love for the former and Jalen Hurts for the latter. Love hurt his elbow and had numbness in his arm during loss to the Chicago Bears. “They said it should [go away],” Love said shortly after the game. “They did. I’m not sure when, but it’s feeling better.” On the other hand, Hurts has been out for the Eagles since the tail-end of December as he was put in concussion protocol while also dealing…
Jordan Love has Green Bay Packers holding their breath ahead of their clash with the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wildcard round. The Packers quarterback got injured in their loss to the Chicago Bears last week due to the numbness of his hand and was not made available in second half as a precautionary measure according to head coach Matt LaFleur. If his status does not get upgraded by the time the clash comes, Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio thinks their own game plan will be affected, too. “If Love doesn’t go, there’s a little bit of change in their offense…
Most discussions on 2024 Defensive Player of the Year puts TJ Watt (Pittsburgh Steelers), Zack Baun (Philadelphia Eagles), Pat Surtain II (Denver Broncos), and Trey Hendrickson (Cincinnati Bengals) as the names that make the loudest noise but for NFL and Wisconsin Badgers legend J.J. Watt, there’s another name that should be in the conversation. Watt, who is a three-time DPOY himself, thinks Andrew Van Ginkel of the Minnesota Vikings has an argument to get the award. Van Ginkel played one season for Wisconsin while J.J. spent three seasons as a Badger. “I think [the race] about as open as it’s…
Wisconsin Badgers Football Officially Lose Ex Starting QB to SMU Mustangs; D3 Safety Signs With Team
It’s quite a busy day for Wisconsin Badgers football fans as they officially lose someone and then gained another in one day of news cycle. Former Badgers quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who won the 2021 ACC Rookie of the Year, entered the transfer portal last month and quickly decided on a new home by signing with the Southern Methodist University Mustangs football team that is competing at the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision. He played his first three years in college with the Miami Hurricanes before signing with the Badgers in 2024. His stint with Wisconsin is not ideal after his…
The Wisconsin Badgers and Greg Gard cruised to a victory against Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Monday but they might not have their starting guard Max Klesmit the next game. The senior guard, who averages 10 points per game, went down from a play in the second half against Rutgers. Klesmit tried to a lay-up in the second half but he landed awkwardly on Scarlet Knights’ guard Jeremiah Williams. He was visibily in pain while holding his ankle. He was not able to return to the game, finishing with just 3 points in 24 minutes of play. Coach Greg Gard said…
