Milwaukee Brewers, Zack Greinke

For the first time in years, starting pitching depth cannot be identified as the Milwaukee Brewers’ biggest strength. Brandon Woodruff was non-tendered after suffering a terrible shoulder injury that could keep him out all of 2024 anyway. Corbin Burnes was traded to the Baltimore Orioles for top prospects and a draft pick instead of being allowed see his years of club control through to the end in Milwaukee. The pitching staff is now led by one-time All-Star Freddy Peralta, who was 12-10 with a 3.86 ERA and 1.12 WHIP last season. He also totaled 210 strikeouts in 165.2 innings pitched.…

Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard

The Milwaukee Bucks are 35-20 and are currently holding onto the third seed in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. Despite their good record, very few are satisfied with their performance so far this season. The team’s poor defense and slow-to-develop chemistry led to the firing of rookie head coach Adrian Griffin. Assistant coach Joe Prunty went 2-1 as the team’s interim head coach while the front office went out and hired veteran head coach Doc Rivers to take over. While the defense has improved, Milwaukee is just 3-6 since Rivers took over. To be fair, the players themselves have not had…

Gary Sanchez has not been officially signed by the Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee Brewers pitchers and catchers reported for spring training on Wednesday. The 2024 season is a highly anticipated one in Milwaukee for several reasons. One of these is because it is the first time since 2018 that the team has neither Corbin Burnes nor Brandon Woodruff on the team. At their peak (and when healthy, in the case of Woodruff), they were perennial Cy Young contenders and multiple-time All-Stars. Now, the starting rotation is led by one-time All-Star Freddy Peralta and journeyman starter Wade Miley. Colin Rea was re-signed and is expected to have a spot in the rotation after…

The full scale of the harm caused by the deadly attack will not be realized for a while. However, there are reports coming out of Kansas City that are concerning. One of these states that there were no metal detectors or security checkpoints at the parade. In…

Milwaukee Bucks, PJ Tucker, Los Angeles Clippers

When the Milwaukee Bucks traded for PJ Tucker in March of 2021 ahead of the NBA trade deadline, it was widely believed that his defense and intense personality was the missing piece that the team needed to put them over the hump on their quest for a NBA Championship. And they were right. Tucker’s “Dawg” mentality was adopted by the rest of the team and Milwaukee saw its first NBA title in 50 years. Unfortunately, but expectedly, Tucker’s time with the Bucks was as brief as it was successful. Following the Bucks’ 2021 title, Tucker signed with the Miami Heat.…

Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Golden State Warriors

The Milwaukee Bucks improved their roster ahead of the NBA trade deadline by trading Cam Payne and a second round draft pick to the Philadelphia 76ers for veteran guard Patrick Beverley. Since that trade, Milwaukee is 2-1 with the lone loss being Tuesday’s embarrassment at home to the Miami Heat on the second night of a back-to-back. The trade, of course, came in response to the Bucks’ deficiencies on defense this season. Beverley has named All NBA Second Team Defense twice and All NBA First Team Defense once. He has also finished in the top-10 of Defensive Player of the…

Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs

The Green Bay Packers were one of the most surprising teams of the 2023 NFL season. After starting the season 2-5, Jordan Love and offense suddenly clicked while the team went 7-3 in the final 10 games of the regular season. Furthermore, they then went on to upset the Dallas Cowboys in the wild card round and nearly knocked off the eventual NFC Champions, the San Francisco 49ers, in the divisional round. To be sure, there were more than a few games that Green Bay lost that they should have won against teams that were inferior to them in terms…

Green Bay Packers, Gilbert Brown, Ben Sims

Green Bay Packers legend Gilbert Brown is a passionate and proud individual. A member of the Packers Hall of Fame, there are few former players that are seen in and around Lambeau Field than Brown, who still meets and greets fans at Stadium View Bar and Grill before every home game. Indeed, one would be hard-pressed to find anyone who carries the G as well as him. Throughout the course of the 2023 NFL season, Brown co-hosted the Go Dads Go podcast with myself and Brian Maafi of Cheesehead TV and the ATB Network. Brown provided insight and analysis that…

Green Bay Packers inside linebacker De'Vondre Campbell

The Green Bay Packers have a great deal to be proud of following their 2023 season. While many expected them to finish at or near the bottom of the NFC, the Packers put together a 9-8 campaign, clinched the seventh seed in the NFC Playoffs, and upset the Dallas Cowboys in the wild card round. While there were struggles along the way, it is hard to be displeased with the season overall. Of course, Green Bay’s improbable run came to an end in the divisional round of the NFC Playoffs. Even though they held the lead going into the fourth…

The Milwaukee Brewers are heading into the 2024 season with a very different team than the one they had in 2023. Gone is 2021 National League Cy Young Award winner, Corbin Burnes, who was traded to the Baltimore Orioles for left-handed pitcher DL Hall and infielder Joey Ortiz, who is the 63rd ranked prospect in all of baseball. Additionally, Milwaukee received a competitive balance Round A pick (or the 34th overall pick in the upcoming MLB Amateur Draft. Gone too is Brandon Woodruff, who suffered a severe shoulder injury and missed most of 2023. His injury will keep him on…
