Devin Williams and the Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to a one-year contract to avoid arbitration. The All-Star closer will make $3.35 million this upcoming season. MLB Network’s Mark Feinsand, who predicted that the Brewers will make the postseason in 2023, announced the news on Twitter. This is Devin Williams’ first time being eligible for arbitration. The Milwaukee Brewers finished 2022 86-76 but fell short of the postseason by just one game. There were many reasons for this, particularly the clubhouse shakeup following the Josh Hader trade. The failure to make the playoffs marked the end of a four-season string of postseason appearances for the Brewers. However, some MLB Network analysts Mark Feinsand and Ron Darling believe that the Brewers will return to the postseason in 2023. MLB Network Analysts Both Believe the Brewers Will Make the 2023 Playoffs On a recent episode of MLB Tonight, analysts Feinsand and Darling both picked the Brewers among the…
Green Bay Packers rookie linebacker Quay Walker made a terrible mistake (again). Everyone is well-aware that he was ejected in the Lions Packers game, ending Green Bay’s season, for shoving an athletic trainer. This was, of course, a grievous error in judgment, especially considering Walker had been ejected for a similar offense earlier in the season against Buffalo. The backlash Walker received from fans on social media was intense, causing the rookie linebacker to delete his accounts after posting a heartfelt apology. Former Packers linebacker Nick Barnett, while not excusing Walker’s actions, called out fans for their overly harsh comments…

The former Brewers designated hitter and outfielder has agreed to return to the Pittsburgh Pirates on a one-year deal (pending a physical). Jason Mackey of Post Gazette Sports announced the deal on Twitter. McCutchen hit .237/.316/.384 for the Milwaukee Brewers this past season. The outfielder/DH had 17 home runs and 69 RBI in 134 games for the Brewers. Can Andrew McCutchen Still Hit Lefties? For his career, Andrew McCutchen has hit .300 with 91 home runs and has 270 RBI against left-handed pitching. The Brewers signed McCutchen…
AJ Green got some meaningful minutes for the short-handed Milwaukee Bucks, and he made the most of his opportunities. Additionally, Jrue Holiday shined, despite the loss, as the only member of the Bucks’ Big Three to suit up in their 108-102 loss to the Miami Heat. The Short-Handed Milwaukee Bucks Prior to the game, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joe Ingles, and Grayson Allen were all deemed “OUT” by the team after their win in Atlanta on Thursday night. Keisean Nixon quickly became a fan-favorite among Green Bay Packers fans this season. Of course, this is due to the spark that he gave the Packers’ kick return unit, returning kicks at a rate never before seen by a Packers returner. Despite not becoming Green Bay’s full-time kick returner until Week Nine, Nixon led the entire NFL in kick return yards with 1,009. Per the Packers Twitter account, Nixon is just the third Packers player ever to lead the NFL in kick return yards. Al Carmichael did so twice in 1956 and 1957. Dave Hampton became the second Packers player…
Eric Wilson may not be the biggest name on the Packers’ special teams. That honor would go to Keisean Nixon. In fact, Wilson is so underappreciated on special teams that it was difficult to find a photo of him in a Packers uniform. In the above photo, Wilson can be seen in a Vikings uniform, tackling Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard. His NFL journey led him from the Vikings, where he once recorded over 120 total tackles in a season, to the Green Bay Packers where became an elite special teams player.
