After a 74-69 loss to Penn State last Sunday, the Badgers women’s basketball team stepped onto the court tonight ready for a win. In their final non-conference game of the season, the Badgers beat Valparaiso 59-44. The highlight of the night, though, was Julie Pospisilova’s big-time achievement. After recording her first double-double in their loss against Penn State, Pospisilova started the game against Valparaiso with 997 points, only three away from an impressive 1,000 career points. The Badgers women’s basketball team beat Michigan State in a thrilling overtime battle last Wednesday. The Badgers stepped onto the court with one Big Ten win under their belt after defeating Minnesota 81-77 last Sunday. Michigan State started the game looking to break their losing streak after falling to Maryland last Saturday, but they were in no such luck. The Badgers’ win marks the first time since the 2016/2017 season that the Badgers won two straight Big Ten back-to-back games. The Wisconsin Badgers women’s basketball team beat the Minnesota Gophers 81-77 in the highly anticipated border battle on Sunday afternoon. With 28 match-ups since 2001, the Gophers stepped onto the court with the upper hand, winning 21 times out of the 28 previous meetings.
