It didn’t take Matt LaFleur long to see the impressive talent of first-round pick Devonte Wyatt.  Wyatt fell to the Green Bay Packers at No. 28 in the 2022 draft.  All it took was two days of rookie minicamp for a first strong first impression to show itself. “He sure looked good in some of the pass-rush things we were doing. I love his intensity, his focus. You can tell he’s been coached hard,” LaFleur said Saturday. “There’s a reason he was a first-round pick. You can see it.” Scouting Report on Devonte Wyatt: Devonte Wyatt is an extremely talented…

Even after the 2022 NFL Draft the Green Bay Packers could find themselves benefiting from signing a veteran wide receiver.  After the three they took in the draft, the future looks bright at that position.  However one more savvy veteran could help Green Bay win the Super Bowl in 2022. Julio Jones to Green Bay? The Tennessee Titans released Julio Jones after just one season.  The 2010s all-decade wide receiver is on the open market, and while he is 33, could still contribute at a high level.  An incredible stat to remember if you are hesitant about your team signing…

Few NBA players have an an impact on a city the way that Giannis has had on Milwaukee.  The city’s visitor’s bureau put some dollar figures to the team’s historic playoff run to a championship in 2021. The Bucks brought $57.6 million in direct and indirect spending to the city.  That according to an estimates release by Visit Milwaukee Monday. About half of that was just during the Finals. The previous rounds in 2021 against the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat brought $14.1 million, $12.8 million and $2.7 million in total economic impact, respectively, according to the estimates. …

Giannis Antetokounmpo came out with more aggression to start this one (compared to Game 2). He quickly put up seven points in the opening few minutes of the quarter, which helped ignite the Fiserv Forum crowd (quick shout out to the crowd, they were on one ALL AFTERNOON).  It also helped start the game with a lead as they held a 22-19 edge going into the second quarter. The refs would make themselves be known throughout the second quarter. It seemed every trip down on, a whistle would be heard.  The fouls really started to suck the energy out from…

The Green Bay Packers traded half of the picks they got for Davante Adams to move up and take Christian Watson.  The 6′ 4″ wide receiver out of North Dakota State has all the physical attributes to be dominant in this league.  His measurables and pre-draft tests were off the charts.  Well Davante Adams had something to say about Christian Watson being his heir in Green Bay.  Today the Green Bay Packers posted this to Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CdQ5KXZO4lk/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link And Davante Adams commented on the post less than one hour later: Kid gon be the truth That’s high praise from the best…

Tight end is one of the few positions of “need” that the Green Bay Packers didn’t address in the 2022 NFL Draft.  Robert Tonyan could start the year on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Marcedes Lewis, while a fan favorite and monster blocker, is on a year to year contract it seems.  Deguara has slowly turned into an H-Back. Dominique Dafney  and Tyler Davis are both unproven.  However GM Brian Gutekunst has praised Tyler Davis. Following the draft, Gutekunst said he was happy with the group he has on the roster. He praised Davis especially, who joined the…

Christian Watson is realizing quickly how passionate Green Bay Packers fans are.  He was greeted at the airport in Green Bay when he first landed. There was one autograph and some pictures.  It’s been hectic ever since the draft, I can already feel how strong and active Green Bay’s fan base is.  Which  is amazing.  I couldn’t be happier to be with such a celebrated team, it’s been crazy but I enjoy it. Safety was just about the only position of need that the Green Bay Packers didn’t address in the 2022 NFL Draft.  Darnell Savage and Adrian Amos have been an above average duo for years now, however beyond those two, it is pretty bleak at the Safety position.  Signing one in free agency may be the missing piece for this defense going into the 2022 season.  There is a pro-bowl safety free agent out there that fits the bil: Safety Landon Collins Landon Collins was asked to restructure his contract earlier in the offseason to help provide cap room to help…
