nwora

For all his athletic limitations, Jordan Nwora has caught the attention and support of the Milwaukee faithful for the better part of this season. Entering the season, fans expected Nwora to shore up the Bucks’ already extensive litany of shooters on the wing to space the floor for the Greek Freak. As a result, fans seemed to be high on Nwora’s offensive skill and upside from the very beginning. Right out the gate, the 45th pick in this year’s draft showed that he can stroke the basketball efficiently and with range. In just 9.1 minutes per game and 30 appearances,…

MLB POWER RANKINGS

This weeks power rankings features another significant change in the top five. It all starts with the Milwaukee Brewers dismantling the Cub’s franchise and staying red hot against the Pirates. The White Sox handled their business against the Twins, but were less than stellar against the Tigers only winning one game in their three game series against them. That allowed the Brewers into the top five this week and dropping the White Sox out of the top five. Another change in the top five is that there is a new number one team this week. The Dodgers took over the…

DiVincenzo

Donte DiVincenzo was easily the most polarizing player on the Milwaukee Bucks’ roster this year. Fans first claimed his hot start to the season meant the Bucks won the botched sign-and-trade for Bogdan Bogdanovic. As his shooting percentages dipped, so too did the criticisms surrounding his game oscillate. By the season’s end, there were some who were convinced he was the league’s worst shooting guard. Yet his overall impact on the floor was clearly missed against the Brooklyn Nets. Pat Connaughton and PJ Tucker were slot into Donte’s role as a hustle player and near-elite defensive stopper, to varied results.…

MLB POWER RANKINGS

After the last week of baseball, there have been some big changes to the top 5 in this weeks power rankings. It starts off with the Rays who are going through their biggest slump of the season, sporting a  7 game losing streak. Wander Franco, the number 1 prospect in baseball the last 2 years is getting called up by the Rays on Tuesday just in time for their 3 game series against the Boston Red Sox who just took over first place in the AL East. Another big mover in this weeks power rankings will be the Houston Astros.…

MLB POWER RANKINGS

If you are like me, then you are probably sick and tired of the weekly bias in the power rankings by ESPN, MLB, FOX, and others. For some reason, they continue to cater to the “popular”, big-market teams in baseball, and find any little reason they can to keep the non-“popular teams” down in their rankings. My goal is to put an end to that and put teams where they belong with as little bias as possible. Week-by-week power rankings should be based mainly on a team’s performance in the last 7-15 days, not off what the team did months…

It was far from pretty, but the Milwaukee Bucks are finally on the board after stealing a close one against the juggernaut Brooklyn Nets, 86-83. They enter their next game at home with momentum in the series as they attempt to equalize it at 2-2. Make no mistake: a win is a win, but the Bucks can’t be happy with a performance like this if they want to sniff any degree of playoff success from here on out. Here are a few things we noticed. Intensity can turn the tide for the Bucks The Bucks came out swinging and looked…

Milwaukee Bucks, Kendrick Nunn (NBA Rumors)

No matter what happens next, there should be no room for doubt. The Milwaukee Bucks won the offseason, and their 3-0 series lead over the Miami Heat is all the proof fans need.  After game one of the Bucks’ first-round matchup against the Heat, Miami fans swore Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo’s games were an outlier. The slump continued in Game 2, however, and the Heat’s Big Two went into their home defense shooting a collective 17-of-58 (29.3%) on field goals. Popular narratives gave no credit to the Bucks’ defense, which threw in occasional switching and zone defense this time…

Welcome Brewers fans to my first edition of the Brewers’ roster power rankings. If you follow the major sports in the US, then you have mostly seen power rankings posted every week of the teams within that sport. I wanted to try something new and do a power ranking of individual players within one specific team. And that is our beloved Brew Crew. Since we are already almost 2 months into the Brewers’ season. My first power rankings will be based on what players have done up to this point in the season. From there, I will be posting my…

Fan narratives surrounding Donte DiVincenzo oscillate by the day. Unfortunately, so does his production. Against the Brooklyn Nets, Donte put in his worst offensive showing of the season, ending the game scoreless after missing all of his five shots. That one game was easily a microcosm of his performance so far, betraying a high-energy player with offensive limitations too glaring to overlook. It wasn’t all bad at first, to be sure. Donte shot the ball with 63.3% efficiency from deep in his first six games, showing he can clearly stroke the basketball from distance. Fans at the time went so…

The Bucks eked out a 141-133 win against the Houston Rockets Friday night in a high-scoring affair that should have been easier than it played out. Giannis, Khris, and Jrue paced the Bucks as per usual with 17, 23, and 20 points respectively. With Antetokounmpo only playing 29 minutes though, the Bucks had to find other ways to score. The end result shows they were able to do just that with little to no problems. With the win, Milwaukee, now 43-24 in the standings, is now tied with the Brooklyn Nets for the second seed in the Eastern Conference. Here’s…
