The newly ranked top 10 Wisconsin Badgers headed to Evanston tonight to take on Northwestern. The Wildcats were coming off a top-10 win over Michigan State on the road. Tonight, they also welcomed back Pete Nance, their leading scorer and number seven scorer in the Big Ten. A hard fought win on the road for the Badgers now has them tied for first place in the Big Ten! Here’s three things from tonight’s game. Offensive Explosion Wisconsin and Northwestern aren’t historically known for their offensive prowess. The first half did not resemble this. A 41-35 score at half, capped off…

Wisconsin basketball has shocked the college basketball world with their impressive start to this season. Even the most optimistic Badger fans like myself, didn’t expect this even in their wildest dreams. Currently 14-2 overall and 5-1 in the Big Ten, Wisconsin hopes to jump into the Nation’s top 10 this week after a huge win over Ohio State. Still a long way to go in the season, let’s take a look at the remaining schedule for Wisconsin Basketball. Rest of January The Badgers are currently perfect to start the New Year, which started with a win in Mackey Arena against…

Johnny Davis and the Wisconsin Badgers have been the surprise of college basketball this season. A huge part of this success has been the rise of superstar Johnny Davis. Announced today, Johnny was named National Player of the Week. Along with Big Ten Co-Player of the week and even the Andy Katz player of the week. A Perfect Week What a crazy week it was for Wisconsin basketball having 3 games in just 7 days, the Badgers went 3-0 and now jumped to number 13 in the country. Wisconsin basketball returned to the Kohl Center tonight to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Last season, Wisconsin lost all three matchups against the Hawkeyes. Both teams look different this season, but Iowa had a lot of players left from last year’s team. Wisconsin again was locked in offensively, scoring 87 and ultimately winning 87-78 thanks to some garbage time buckets from the Hawkeyes. Here’s 3 things from tonight’s win. Johnny Davis vs Keegan Murray A game within the game tonight was the matchup of Johnny Davis and Keegan Murray. Murray leads the entire country at 24.5 PPG. Johnny Davis is…

2022 is here and that means Wisconsin basketball resumes Big Ten play. No game in the Big Ten is easy, but the New Year brought the Badgers to Purdue to play the best team in the conference on the road. Mackey Arena has been the Badgers kryptonite outside of the NCAA tournament game last season against North Carolina. Wisconsin has not beat Purdue there since 2014. Of course, the young Badgers who have been overlooked all season, were the ones to do it in Mackey Arena. Taking down a top 5 Purdue team. Capped by a monster slam from Johnny…

Wisconsin Badger Basketball was back after two weeks since their last outing. Thanks to a Covid outbreak and Christmas break, the Badgers had a long lay off coming off the scary win over Nicholls. This would be the Badgers non-conference finale taking on a good team in the Redbirds from Illinois State. In our keys to victory, we talked about the need to be fluid on offense and also limiting their leading scorer. After an impressive start, Illinois State had an impressive comeback. They held Davis and Davison in check and other Badgers had to step up. Wisconsin squeaked out…

Wisconsin basketball opened up Big Ten play tonight at home versus Indiana. Indiana has not won in the Kohl Center since 1998. The Badgers would be without Lorne Bowman and Jahcobi Neath who both are battling an illness, (not covid related). After a miserable first half for Wisconsin, another second half surge has the Badgers 1-0 in the Big Ten following the 64-59 win. Here are three things from the game. Overcoming Deficits In the past, Wisconsin has not been known to be a team that comes from behind very often. Building their identity on controlling pace, not fouling, and…

The I-94 rivalry has been played since 1917 where Wisconsin took down Marquette 15-14. Safe to say the game has changed quite a bit since then. Both teams were overlooked by the “experts” coming into this season, and both have continued to exceed expectations in this young season. Wisconsin recently cracked the top 25 and Marquette was making their way there. Wisconsin got the better of Marquette today 89-76. Here’s three things we learned. Offensive Explosion During this hot start for the Badgers, the offense wasn’t the thing winning them games. Outside of a couple of Davison and Davis outbursts,…

The Big Ten/ACC challenge is such a great time in college basketball. We get to see some of the best out of conference games of the entire year. Not only was Paul Bunyan’s Axe on the line for Wisconsin today. With a win, Wisconsin is in the Big Ten Championship game next Saturday against Michigan. The Badgers came up short, ending their win streak and chance at the Big Ten Title. From the run game completely disappearing, to Paul Chryst being completely outcoached. Here are three things we learned from this game. Targeting Rule Sucks The targeting rule in college football needs a major overhaul. On the very first play, Collin Wilder came up to make a tackle when a Minnesota WR ducked his head and absorbed the…
