Wisconsin and Michigan both entered today winning three of their last four games. The Badgers also had the chance to once again be tied for the #1 spot in the Big Ten. Michigan has not had the season they envisioned so far, but a well coached team under Juwan Howard and a great player like Hunter Dickinson makes this a tough game. In what will be their only meeting of the regular season, a dominant second half propelled Wisconsin to a 77-63 win. Besides some after game poor sportsmanship, this was a great match. Some Saturday afternoon hoops for Wisconsin. Taking on a feisty Rutgers team at the Kohl Center. Just a week ago this same Rutgers team put a beat down on Michigan State. Wisconsin had a rematch with the Spartans tonight just 19 days after their 74-86 home loss in January. However, that game was played without forward Tyler Wahl, who has proven to be one of the most important players for the Badgers. The Breslin Center has not been friendly to the Badgers. Wisconsin looked to get back in the win column at home taking on the Penn State Nittany Lions. Penn State has never won at the Kohl Center and is 0-17. Wisconsin headed back on the road, this time facing the Fighting Illini from Illinois in a rowdy atmosphere. Illinois was healthy for the first time, bringing back Kofi Cockburn and Andre Curbelo. The headline matchup was Johnny Davis versus Kofi Cockburn. Both guys with the chance to be both Big Ten Player of the Year and National Player of the Year. The last couple weeks have been a roller coaster for Badgers fans regarding the Caleb Williams sweepstakes. From having a legitimate chance to land the superstar quarterback to then reports of him calling Coach Chryst saying he will not be attending. In the end, it was an exciting story and something most Badger fans knew was a longshot. Williams to USC Caleb Williams will be headed to USC to follow his former coach Lincoln Riley. One of the oldest rivalries in college basketball hasn’t been tied in over fifty years. Wisconsin has dominated this since the 2000’s, especially at the Kohl Center.
