Former Wisconsin Badger great James “Sweet Feet” White is retiring from the NFL after eight seasons. Not only has White overcome adversity on the field in the last few years. Off the field he played through the tragedy of losing his father in an accident that also critically injured his mother. Wisconsin star Johnny Davis made his NBA Summer League debut tonight in Las Vegas. Johnny was selected 10th overall in the NBA draft by the Washington Wizards. A familiar foe awaited Davis in the desert tonight, former Purdue star Jaden Ivey who was selected 5th by the Detroit Pistons. The “Big Ten” may now be expanding from 14 schools to 16 after the breaking news this afternoon. Powerhouse California universities, UCLA and USC, might be on their way to the Big Ten. Wisconsin star Johnny Davis is headed to the Nation’s Capitol. With the tenth pick in the NBA draft, the Washington Wizards selected the former La Crosse standout Davis. Johnny bursted on to the National scene last year with some impressive scoring outputs. He carried a supposedly “undermanned” Badger team to a share of the Big Ten Championship.
