Coming in ranked number 13 in the country and just knocked off Illinois. Wisconsin was able to pull out the great win 64-59, here are three things from the win.  Front Court Play Coming into the season, we knew how good Tyler Wahl would be for the Badgers. However, outside of that, we didn’t know the kind of depth Wisconsin would have at this position.…

Wisconsin headed into Iowa with the fate of the Big Ten West on the line. After another Illinois loss, this afternoon’s game suddenly became bigger than it already was. A tough day at the office for the Badgers, they lose to Iowa 24-10, and here are three things.  Turnovers One way Iowa beats teams is by forcing turnovers and capitalizing off of those turnovers. Today, it was the only reason Iowa scored on the Badgers. A blocked punt gave them the ball in the red zone. Followed by a pick-six, gave Iowa their 14 first-half points. Wisconsin was able to…

Wisconsin looked to get back on track with a big win against first place Purdue. After a disappointing loss in double overtime last weekend, the Badgers played an amazing game on homecoming and knocked off Purdue 35-24. Here’s three things from the win.  Perfect Start Although myself and a lot of Badger fans around the country missed this amazing start thanks to ESPN. The Badgers came out firing on both sides of the ball. An impressive first drive that featured some nice play from Mertz finished with a long touchdown pass.  https://twitter.com/BadgerFootball/status/1583909513765101568 On the first Purdue possession, John Torchio,…

Wisconsin Badgers looked to keep the momentum going under interim coach Jim Leonhard. This afternoon they visited Michigan State who started the year as a ranked team but have struggled lately. Wisconsin loses in double overtime 34-28. Here’s three things from the game Braelon Allen 2K Yards Braelon Allen joined an elite group of Wisconsin Badger running backs to hit 2,000 rushing yards in their career. It took the 18 year old star running back just 19 games to achieve this. Braelon will be hard on himself because of that 2nd overtime fumble, but he was a bright spot for…

A new era in Wisconsin Badger football has begun. Under interim head coach Jim Leonhard, the Badgers traveled to Evanston to take on Northwestern. Coming off an embarrassing loss to Illinois, Wisconsin had to respond. They did in a major way, taking down Northwestern 42-7. Here’s three things from the win. New Look Offense The offense looked completely rejuvenated from the start of this game. Although the first drive ended with a missed field goal, the offense followed it up with a 98 yard touchdown drive that ended with a Skylar Bell touchdown. After last week against Illinois, who would’ve…

Wisconsin headed to Columbus to take on Ohio State this weekend. The Badgers were dominated from the opening kickoff and lose this one 52-21. Here’s three things.  Defense MIA? Say what you want about the Wisconsin offense and their inconsistencies. We have come to expect Jim Leonard’s group to be able to compete with the best in the country. They had absolutely no resistance from the opening kickoff. The first two drives, Ohio State was averaging 18 yards a completion. It was 28-0 Buckeyes after four drives, at that point almost ending the Badger hopes. This Wisconsin defense has been…

The Wisconsin Badgers responded to last week’s loss in a major way, which we knew they would. New Mexico State Football is probably the worst team Wisconsin will face all year, and they showed it today. The Badgers handled business today 66-7. Here are three things from the win. Badgers Backfield Proves They’re the Nation’s Best Against New Mexico State Football I have gone on record before this game against New Mexico State Football about Chez Mellusi and Braelon Allen being the best running back duo in all of college football. Well, now it’s time to label the best trio…

Washington State is certainly a step up from a week ago. A team that Wisconsin should still be able to handle. A slow start followed by a very sloppy performance, Wisconsin was upset at home. Here are three things from the loss.  Unforced Errors A game that was statistically dominated by Wisconsin, the main reason for the loss is the unforced errors. Two missed field goals, penalties, and turnovers. 11 penalties for 106 yards made the offense play from behind the sticks all day. If that wasn’t bad enough, how about an interception and then fumble on the same play…

Wisconsin started their 2022 campaign with a big win over Illinois State 38-0. A great start to the season for both sides of the ball, here’s three things from tonight’s big win. New defense, Same results It’s been noted how many starters Wisconsin’s defense has lost since last season. Although there are many new faces, they showed they can play. One of the few familiar names returning, John Torchio, had himself a game. After recording the first sack of the year for the Badger defense, “the jewel thief” as they like to call him took an interception 100 yards back…

First game week for the Wisconsin Badger 2022-2023 campaign started with some sad news today. Backup Quarterback Chase Wolf’s season is done after tearing his meniscus. Fellow QB Graham Mertz shared his disappointment about the situation as Wolf was supposedly having a very impressive camp. The senior Quarterback appeared in just four games last year, but in 2020 we saw his importance to this team with his good play in tough circumstances against our rivals Minnesota. https://twitter.com/Dario_Melendez/status/1564240955821154305 New Backup? Unfortunately, like any other season ending injury, no time to sulk about it. It is next man up, which has always…
