Jake Cousins

Don’t let the continuing MLB lockout stop you from keeping up with the Crew. Our 2021 Brewers season report card series continues with pitcher Jake Cousins. After attending Spring Training with the Brewers, Cousins started the 2021 season in the minors. He played with both the AA Biloxi Shuckers and the AAA Nashville Sounds earlier in the season. He returned in February 2021 after agreeing to a 1-year, 2.5 million-dollar deal. The Brewers’ pitching staff was stacked this season, with a Big Three of starters Cy Young Corbin Burnes, Brandon Woodruff, and Freddy Peralta and closing powerhouse duo Devin Williams and Josh Hader. However, the big names weren’t the only pitchers to deliver this season and Anderson was no exception. 2021 Season Grade: B- Performance on the…

Yelich

In early 2020, Christian Yelich and the Milwaukee Brewers inked a historic contract extension. It will keep Yelich in Milwaukee through at least 2028. To read up on the details of Yelich’s contract extension, see Brewers and Yelich Agree to Extension. Even after his season-ending knee injury in 2020 and a less than triumphant return to the field for the MVP in 2021, Yelich’s contract extension is still much to be excited about almost two years after its signing. Yelich and Giannis: Milwaukee’s MVPs Yelich wasn’t the only Milwaukee sports icon who cemented his place in Milwaukee’s hearts in 2020.…
