Now that the Wisconsin basketball season is over, it is time to start looking into Wisconsin football as spring practices have arrived. It was an up an down for year one of the Luke Fickell. The Badgers, who were seen as the early favorite to win the Big Ten West last season, ended the season 7-6 overall and 5-4 in the Big Ten West. We saw flashes early and at the end of the season, but when it mattered most, the Badgers did not play well. Year two could be interesting with the expansion of the Big Ten. However, Wisconsin…

It’s hard to believe, but we are less than a month away until the 2024 NFL Draft. The Green Bay Packers own 11 draft picks this year. They have hit on their quarterback of the future, addresses the running back room, and hit on multiple receivers they drafted last year. There isn’t a ton of draft needs, especially after signing safety Xavier McKinney in free agency. However, this year, the Green Bay Packers still have two glaring needs they need to address in the draft. Green Bay Packers Draft Need: Inside Linebacker After the Green Bay Packers released D’Vondre Campbell…

It’s only been a few days since the Wisconsin basketball season surprisingly ended in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Greg Gard and the Badgers were successful in the transfer portal last off-season by getting AJ Storr after he left St John’s. It was a great first few months of the season, but a really bad February haunted this team for four weeks. They played much better the first two weeks of March, but it did not matter they fell to James Madison in a game they were not overly competitive in. There were thing this team did well…

It’s still been a tough 72 hours for Wisconsin basketball. After losing in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night to James Madison, the Badgers lost Connor Essegian and walk-on’s Ross Candelino and Luke Haertle to the transfer portal, this team will look a lot different next season. Assuming Wisconsin basketball can keep most of their core, I like where this team will be at when next season begins, Right now, here is how I see the Wisconsin basketball depth chart looking right now. Wisconsin Basketball Dept Chart: Point Guard- Chucky Hepburn/Kamari McGee or Daniel Freitag I don’t…

After what was a such a promising start to the Wisconsin basketball season, the Badgers had an awful moth of February. Then came a solid two weeks that ended in a trip to the Big Ten Tournament Championship game. Unfortunately, that momentum did not ride into the the NCAA Tournament. Wisconsin was knocked out Friday night by 12 seed James Madison, who was clearly better than their seed suggested. With the season over and no games until November, here were four overall takeaways from this season. The Newcomers Provided Something Last Year’s Team Did Not Have Before the season began,…

It was an ugly showing from Wisconsin basketball from the tip tonight. The Badgers fell to 12 seed James Madison in the first round of the NCAA Tournament 72-61. It is the end of the season as Wisconsin basketball finishes 22-14. Key players struggled all night for the Badgers that included 19 turnovers. Here are four takeaways from the loss tonight. Wisconsin Basketball Looked Unprepared and Was Caught Sleepwalking From the Tip Greg Gard mentioned Sunday he was thrilled to avoid playing until Friday night. He wanted to get his players healthy and some rest from playing four games in…

Making a return to the NCAA Tournament after missing it a season ago, Wisconsin basketball begins their NCAA Tournament run tomorrow night in Brooklyn. The fifth seeded Badgers will take on the 12 seed James Madison Dukes out of the Sun Belt conference. James Madison owns the longest active winning streak in the country at 13 games and is 31-3 on the season. Can Wisconsin basketball avoid falling victim to a 5-12 upset? Tip time is approximately 8:50 PM on CBS. Here is a preview of tomorrow night’s game. Can Wisconsin Basketball Keep Up With James Madison’s Athleticism? The Dukes are…

After missing the NCAA Tournament last season, Wisconsin basketball is back in the big dance. The Badgers received a 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament yesterday. They will take on 12 seed James Madison out of the Sun Belt conference. That game will be Friday night at 8:50 PM in Brooklyn. Wisconsin basketball is in the South region, as is Marquette. The 1 seed is Houston. It’s a difficult region for the Badgers, but here are my initial thoughts on Wisconsin basketball’s seeding and path. James Madison is Not a Great Draw, but Not a Bad Draw This will be…

What a three days it has been for Wisconsin basketball! The Badgers did what most, including me, thought was the unthinkable in defeating top seed Purdue 76-75 in overtime. A Max Klesmit floater with just under five seconds was the difference. Up next is the second seed Illinois Fighting Illini for the tournament championship. Illinois won the only meeting on March 2 in Madison 91-83. Tip time is 2 PM on CBS. Here is a preview of the Big Ten Tournament Championship. What is Left in the Wisconsin Basketball Tank? I am not sure how much is left in the…

Wisconsin basketball got a huge win today in the Big Ten Tournament. The Badgers defeated Northwestern 70-61. AJ Storr was terrific as we went for a career high 30 points. Everyone was caught off guard when it was announced less than 30 minutes before tip time Chucky Hepburn was not start, but be available in case of an emergency with a knee injury. Wisconsin basketball now has a tough ask tomorrow as they will play their third game in three days against top seed Purdue in the semifinals. Tip time is noon on CBS, Here is a preview of tomorrow’s…
