For the first time since 2017, the World Baseball Classic (WBC) will be played. In 2017, the Miami Marlins, Christian Yelich, helped Team USA defeat Team Puerto Rico for the championship. The 2023 version of the WBC will have 67 MLB All-Stars, 186 players on 40-man rosters and 332 players under contract with big league teams. Several of that number come from the Milwaukee Brewers organization, including Willy Adames for Team Dominican Republic, Devin Williams for Team USA, and Rowdy Tellez and Luis Urias for Team Mexico. One of the more surprising developments of this year’s off-season is how many left-handed relievers still remain on the market. Andrew Chafin, Will Smith, and Matt Moore are still out there, and there are a number of teams across MLB that could use their services. The Milwaukee Brewers are seemingly one such team. During the early phases of this offseason, there was chatter galore bandied about suggesting the Milwaukee Brewers might be open to shopping Corbin Burnes, Willy Adames, and Brandon Woodruff.
