Wisconsin (2-1, 0-0) was led by senior Brad Davison with 25 points along with a solid 16 point performance from junior Tyler Wahl. The Badgers shot 32.8% from the field and 5-27 from three point range. At times it was just shots just not falling. Numerous players had open looks for deep but were unable to capitalize. Along with a poor offensive first half, it just wasn’t enough to sneak a win against a physical Providence team. Struggling early, the…

After a strong defensive performance, the Badgers face off against newly ranked Purdue in West Lafayette. Wisconsin defeated Army 20-14 last Saturday and saw another strong performance from the defense. All week defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard talked about wanting to see a turnover leading to a score. He finally got his wish when junior linebacker Leo Chanel came and forced the ball out on a sack. The offense would then punch it into the end-zone following the turnover. He would finish the night with 17 total tackles, 2.5 for a loss, and Wisconsin’s lone sack. Against an unfamiliar opponent like…

Coming off two straight losses, Wisconsin looks to grab their first conference victory this Saturday. The Badgers will travel down to Champaign where they’ll face off against former Wisconsin head coach Brett Bielema and the Illinois Fighting Illini. After losing 38-17 against Michigan, Wisconsin sits at 1-3 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. Wisconsin hasn’t been in this position very often. The last time the Badgers started the season 1-3 was back in 1990, ironically losing to the wolverines. https://twitter.com/ZachHeilprin/status/1444387447836655620?s=20 With that, all eyes now turn to the Illini. After losing in Champaign back in 2019, Wisconsin…

After an up and down season, Wisconsin is left with one lone senior from last year’s squad. Brad Davison took advantage of the NCAA COVID-19 eligibility rule and decided to return for a final season. With that, the Badgers are rolling out with a completely different team. Losing over 85% of their scoring production from last season, Davison will look to lead this core of young players to new heights. Even though Davison has been scrutinized at times for his “dirty” play, it’s hard not to like him as a player. From start to finish, the Minnesota native never takes…

With the Badgers set to face-off against Notre Dame, the performance by Graham Mertz could defy his career. The 12th ranked Irish are one of the most complete teams in football. With former Wisconsin quarterback Jack Coan at the helm, it may be Brian Kelly’s most talented team at Notre Dame ever. Although they haven’t been perfect, the Irish have found ways to get it done when needed. That being said, it’s not about how the Irish offense performs on Saturday that will decide the game. It’s about how Wisconsin can get after a tough Notre Dame defense. With two…
