Aaron Rodgers is not the only Green Bay Packers star headed to the Jets. Allen Lazard signed a 4-year/$44 million contract with the Jets in free agency and had his introductory press conference on Friday.
Obviously, Allen Lazard was asked about Aaron Rodgers’ announcement that he intends to play for the New York Jets. Lazard discussed how Aaron Rodgers is a big reason for his success in the NFL. Lazard also opened up about what the expectation is with the Jets now that his former quarterback will be joining him.
Allen Lazard: "I think with Aaron Rodgers as quarterback, the possibility to win is always a thing."
Said the expectation with Rodgers would be: "Super Bowl." #Jets

Allen Lazard’s High Expectations
Lazard and Rodgers had quite the connection together in Green Bay. In four seasons together they connected on 20 touchdowns and gained 2,229 yards. Their connection won’t be the only thing headed to the Jets. Former Broncos head coach, and Packers offensive coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett, will also be joining them.
Hackett was hired as the offensive coordinator on Robert Saleh’s staff this offseason. Under Hackett, Rodgers won two MVP awards so it is not unfair for Lazard to assume that Rodgers will be back in MVP form in 2023. Rodgers has not reached the Super Bowl since the 2010 season when he won his only championship with the Packers. The Jets have a young roster and phenomenal defense. They believe Rodgers is the catalyst to help them reach the big game.
