Allen Lazard has played his final game for the Green Bay Packers. After Green Bay lost to the Detroit Lions, missing the playoffs, Lazard said: “Going into the game, I kind of had a realization that my first game here, and potentially my last game, which it is, was going to be against the Lions at home.”

This past season, Lazard had career-highs in receptions and receiving yards. He hauled in 60 receptions for 788 yards, leading the Packers in each category. He also scored six touchdowns.
In addition to his receiving capabilities, Lazard is generally regarded as one of the best blocking wide receivers in the NFL. He famously blocked three Miami Dolphins defenders to the ground on one play during their Christmas Day matchup, was fined for counting to three, and finally had the fine rescinded.

The Baltimore Ravens were eliminated from the AFC Playoffs with a very inconsistent offense. 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson may or may not be back, but regardless the offense is a run-heavy one. Lazard’s aforementioned blocking abilities would make him an ideal player in this system.
