Albert Breer Confrims Packers Reached Out To All-Pro Following Trade Deadline

The Green Bay Packers decided not to make any moves at the trade deadline.  A decision that has come under heavy fire from the fans and media.  It was easier to explain in 2019, 2020 and 2021 why Gutekunst stood pat at the trade deadline. The Packers were 7-1, 5-2 and 7-1 in those respective seasons.  Gutekunst clearly thought he had enough to make a Super Bowl run in those years.  This year Green Bay sits 3-5 and certainly do not look like a Super Bowl Contender.  However, it would appear that Green Bay has reached out to one All-Pro following the trade deadline.

With Albert Breer reported the Packers are among the teams to have reached out to OBJ (but the knee is still a question) following the trade deadline.  It has been made clear in the past that Odell Beckham Jr. wants to play with Aaron Rodgers.  Beckham wanted to be signed by the Packers last year prior to signing with the Rams in L.A.  However, after feeling like the Packers weren’t serious about signing him, he went on to play with Matthew Stafford.  This year the Rams don’t seem to be offering much for OBJ to come back, so he is looking elsewhere.

Odell could be a puzzle piece this team needs to be successful. While many agree that just one piece will not fix this team, this would certainly be a step in the right direction.  Odell Beckham Jr. could still be the number one guy on this offense. He was outstanding last year with the Rams, and he’s a big part of why they went to the Super Bowl and won.  OBJ was finally able to prove that he can be a meaningful weapon on a contending team.  If Green Bay wants to be that this year, this would be a great start.

Just like the brewers their general manager was ousted, because you can win the division year after year without making it to the world series. So this needs to happen with the packers organization, if they don’t want to help Roger’s then someone needs to be fired.
