At this point in his tenure with the New York Jets, it’s safe to say that the Aaron Rodgers experiment for the AFC East division franchise is a huge letdown. The Jets made a bold move to acquire Rodgers via a trade with the Green Bay Packers in 2023, but they have yet to come even remotely close to the shiny expectations they had when they got him.
The Jets continue to trend downward, and there are questions about whether Rodgers would even still be the team’s quarterback in 2025. One team has emerged as a favored landing spot for the 2025 season should he part ways eventually with New York.

The Raiders are an intriguing team as a potential Rodgers’ next employer. Then again, any team that gets linked to Rodgers is going to fuel plenty of discussions. For one, Rodgers is already past his prime and based on his performance for the Jets, it’s difficult to just rely on his talents alone.
Rodgers, who inked a three-year restructured extension deal worth $112.5 million with the Jets in 2023, has 2,627 passing yards and 19 touchdowns with eight interceptions on a 62.5 percent completion rate so far in the 2024 NFL regular season.
