Sunday was about as bad as it could get for the Green Bay Packers. Losing 15-9 to the (then) 1-6 Detroit Lions was bad enough. However, to add to it they suffered a brutal amount of injuries. Packers running back Aaron Jones suffered an ankle injury during Sunday’s loss to the Lions and was spotted in a walking boot after. However, it appears he avoided a serious injury according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Adam Schefter Provides Update For Packers’ Aaron Jones Injury
Jones told reporters on Sunday that X-rays were negative and Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that further tests also showed that Jones’ ankle is in good shape. Per the report, Jones should be able to play against the Cowboys in Week 10.
Aaron Jones ran nine times and caught two passes before he was taken out of the game vs the Lions. While it would appear the Packers have good Aaron Jones injury news coming from Adam Schefter, they are far from “in the clear” with the injury bug. Rashan Gary has already been lost for the year. Eight players in total either couldn’t finish the game or missed parts of the game. Those players include Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Aaron Jones, David Bakhtiari, Jon Runyan, Gary, Eric Stokes, and Krys Barnes. Also, Tonyan dealt with cramps late. The Green Bay Packers are down bad right now, in many aspects. Some more good injury news from Adam Schefter heading forward would be nice for a change.
