Aaron Rodgers has not made a decision on whether or not he wants to play in 2023. If he does decide to play, it is entirely possible that the Green Bay Packers may trade him to move onto Jordan Love as their starting quarterback. Earlier this week, former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall caused a stir on social media when he posted a “Happy Retirement” tribute to Rodgers on Instagram. It was all in jest, but it sure put Marshall’s name out there like it hasn’t been since, well, ever. Now, Marshall is claiming that four NFL general managers have called him asking about Rodgers’ future.
Brandon Marshall Said His Stunt Led 4 NFL GM’s to Contact Him Regarding Aaron Rodgers

On his podcast, Marshall claimed that several NFL front offices contacted him asking if his “retirement news” was true:
“What I know for sure is that there are at least four NFL teams that want in on Aaron Rodgers. How do I know that? Because they all called me this morning asking me, ‘Please, Brandon, tell me it isn’t true. Please tell me it isn’t so!’ I said, ‘No, guys, listen to what I’m saying.”
When asked to clarify who called him:
“General managers. Director of personnel, player personnel. ‘Yo, yo, yo, what’s going on?'”
One would have to imagine that of all people, Marshall is not a member of Rodgers’ inner circle. Instead, Marshall says he was just showing appreciation to a former foe on the gridiron whose time in Green Bay may be coming to an end.
